Jane Alt-Clark, LMFT
Jane Alt Clark is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Colorado and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Since then, she has been working to provide each client with a safe space and a bright future. Jane is an active member of the Women’s Association of Addiction Treatment (WAAT) in Los Angeles and a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). From her own journey, Jane knows that finding the appropriate treatment is often overwhelming and difficult. Deciding to take action is the first step on your mindful path.
Jane excels in using a hands-on approach with her clients and encouraging them to be active participants in their own journey while collaborating with a treatment team. Through her work at Newport Academy, an adolescent mental health facility, and her experience at an adult eating disorder, chemical dependency and mental health intensive outpatient program in Santa Monica, Jane has seen several clients that are over-therapized and under-recovered. Jane strives to provide a space for clients to have corrective experiences. Her goal is to help clients feel empowered to embrace their recovery through deep, challenging work. Jane specializes in the treatment of addiction, eating disorders, and sex and love addiction. She is also passionate about and experienced with family and couples therapy. Jane believes that therapy does not define an individual’s life, only alters it, and she helps make positive changes by providing a well-rounded continuum of care. She integrates complementary methodologies to offer a highly personal approach, uniquely tailored to each individual.
Jane has worked under the supervision of Erica Ives, LMFT, CEDS, for some time and considers her a mentor.
