Life is a series of unforeseen events. We’re constantly caught off guard with both pleasant and unpleasant surprises. Multiple communities in California have recently been shocked by a mass shooting and two wildfires. These afflicted communities are joined by other communities in mourning -- Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Colorado, Florida, and Illinois -- just to name a few. Our communities have been rattled by brutal acts of human beings and of mother nature herself. We are seeing a ripple effect rampage through our communities and also through our planet.
So what are we to do?
Communities have a tendency to come together after traumatic, unforeseen events. We need more of this. Much more. And we need it prior to mass shootings and and natural disasters. Our unity needs to be consistent. By supporting one another in times of peace, we will be able to better manage times of chaos.
Please join us at Mindfulpath on November 25th and Sunday, December 2nd. We will be hosting a free community event for members of our community that have been effected by the shooting and wildfire. This is an opportunity for us to come together, support one another, and create a stronger sense of community.
Gratitude to all,
